Like any job, being successful
in college requires certain skills. These skills
make the job easier and increase efficiency. The
'job' of college is to learn. What does it take
to be good at the job of learning?
College students are given
mountains of homework: reading assignments, research
papers and group projects. Most students, especially
Distance Learning students, have busy lives. With
so little extra time, they must learn to manage
their study time. The study strategies used in
high school may not be appropriate for college.

My
best advice is to be VERY disciplined,
do work every day on the course, to
keep up with the work. Instructors are
very helpful and answer questions promptly.
