cleardot Admission and Registration are conducted no differently for eLearning and Hybrid courses than they are for face-to-face courses. The college does not have a separate admissions policy for students taking eLearning or Hybrid courses and there are no extra pre-requisites that a student must meet in order to take an eLearning or Hybrid course.

Things To Know Before You Enroll

  • Consider your strengths as a learner.

For example, if you struggle with math courses when taught in a face-to-face manner, then it probably would not be a good idea to start out in by taking one via eLearning.

  • Consider which Online Learning modalities might work better for you.

For example, if you feel you learn a great deal by being able to discuss things and conduct research, but you still need some face-to-face time with your instructor, then a Hybrid course might work better for you.

  • Find out as much as you can about the courses you are interested in.

eLearning and Hybrid instructors provide detailed information about how their course will be conducted. The information can be found on the Online Learning section of the BCCC website, or by calling/emailing the Online Learning office (215-968-8052, learning@bucks.edu).

Important Things To Remember
There are no special pre-requisites for eLarning or Hybrid courses. If a course does have a pre-requisite, then it applies to face-to-face as well as to eLearning or Hybrid.

There are no extra fees or separate tuition involved for eLearning or Hybrid courses.

A course may utilize special materials (such as videos or software) that may involve rental or purchase charges when a student wishes to have the convenience of using/viewing those items at home.

If you cannot meet or fulfill any of the special requirements that an eLearning or Hybrid course may have (on-campus meetings, Internet access), do not register for the course without first contacting the instructor and discussing your situation.

eLearning and Hybrid classes fill up early. Don't wait until the last minute to register!
