A mandatory information session will be held Monday at the Lower Bucks Campus for the 12-week program, which starts October 23 in Bristol
To meet employer demand for skilled workers, Bucks County Community College is offering a Metalwork Training program for those who are unemployed or underemployed.
The training, which focuses on metal fabrication fundamentals, begins October 23 at the college’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, located at 310 George Patterson Boulevard, Bristol, Pa. The training is free, but students must meet certain criteria to qualify.
To learn more, prospective students must attend a mandatory information session from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, September 18 at the college’s Lower Bucks Campus, located at 1304 Veterans Highway, Bristol, Pa.
The Metalwork Training program introduces students to the fundamental concepts and hands-on skills required in manufacturing and a variety of industries. Students will receive a certificate of completion, plus a NIMS, OSHA10 and Forklift Safety Training certification. The program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.
