Student-Athlete Orientation Draws Crowd Ahead of Fall Semester

Centurions Athletics drew about 100 recruits for sports teams that will compete in the NJCAA’s Region XIX

On Tuesday, August 8, Bucks County Community College Athletics held its annual orientation and physicals for all student-athletes. Rothman Institute provided doctors and athletic trainers as about 100 potential student-athletes received physicals and attended orientation. “Every year this event gets bigger and bigger,” said Director of Athletics Matt Cipriano, who addressed the crowd gathered in the Linksz Pavilion on the Newtown campus. “It is a true testament to our staff and coaches who recruit student-athletes and promote this event that we draw this many people.” Fall sports have begun practices for men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis, volleyball, and golf. Bucks County Community College sports are division three, nonathletic scholarship and compete in the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) of Region XIX in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
