FINAL DAYS: Hicks Art Center Gallery Presents ‘Art Behind the Scenes’
Exhibition through Thursday showcases the talent of 21 members of the Arts Department staff in a variety of genres and media.
Bucks County Community College, whose talented Arts Department staff have been enhancing students’ education for more than 50 years, presents “Art Behind the Scenes” at the Hicks Art Center Gallery on exhibition through Thursday, July 20.
The show features a rare look at art created by 21 people who work behind the scenes in the department, which offers nine associate degree programs and three certificate programs. Bucks County Community College is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

“Reflecting the spirit of the region, these accomplished artists reveal a wide range of visual practices spanning all genres and media, which enrich the students and faculty at Bucks,” noted John Mathews, Dean of the Arts Department.
Works range from sculpture to photography and printmaking, from jewelry and glass to time-based media, and more.

Gallery hours through June 2 are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Starting June 5, gallery hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The Hicks Art Center Gallery is located on the campus at 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Pa., 18940. Admission and parking are free.
