Upper Bucks Campus Welcomes Prospective Students to Open House
See what the excitement is about from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 21 at the college’s convenient Perkasie location.
Bucks County Community College welcomes prospective students to the Upper Bucks Campus open house on Tuesday, March 21.
The event, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the campus located at One Hillendale Rd., Perkasie, features a chance to sit in on a college class and meet with representatives from all areas of the college. Experts will provide information about admission, financial aid, accessibility services and transfer services. In addition, representatives from each of the college’s academic departments will be available to answer questions.
“The open house gives attendees the chance to experience our campus and vibrant learning environment while showcasing the dynamic student life and personalized attention that attracts hundreds of students here each semester,” said Rodney Altemose (pictured, second from right), the campus’ executive director.
Conveniently located on 14 scenic acres, the two buildings that comprise the Upper Bucks Campus include a student commons area, library, café, classrooms and labs, meeting spaces, offices, and an outdoor amphitheater.
Bucks, which opened the Upper Bucks Campus in 1999, offers nearly 80 programs of study that lead to either a two-year associate degree or a shorter-term certificate. Bucks also holds classes at its original campus in Newtown, the Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol, and through online learning. Nearly three-fourths of Bucks graduates transfer to a four-year school to earn a bachelor’s degree, saving thousands of dollars in tuition in the process and reducing potential student-loan debt.
Admission and parking are free. For more information, visit www.bucks.edu/ubc or call 215-258-7700.
