Enrich Your Child’s Summer with ‘Kids on Campus’ Day Camps
Nationally accredited day camps for children ages 5 to 13 and over run June 24 to August 16.
Kids on Campus – Bucks County Community College’s nationally accredited day camp program – offers more than 200 programs for children ages five years to over 13 years old from June 24 through August 16.
Registration is now open for the popular day camps, all of which have an educational component. Topics range from athletics and sports, to crafts and academics. New camps this summer include Digital Video II , Hogwarts II, Electronic Excitement, Kid Biz Camp, and Fitness Fun. Other popular programs are back, such as American Girl Camp, Underwater ROVers, Brilliant Bridge Builders, Kid Kuisine, Mountain Biking, Skateboarding, and Lacrosse.
Kids on Campus is nationally accredited by the American Camp Association. ACA accreditation verifies that a camp has complied with up to 300 standards for health, safety, and program quality.
It assures parents that the camp has had a regular, independent safety audit that goes beyond regulations in most states. As part of the accreditation process, the ACA collaborates with the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other agencies to assure that practices reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation.
Camps are held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Newtown campus, located at 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown. Most are one week in length, giving a family the freedom to choose among many programs yet still have time for a family vacation. In cooperation with the Tri-Hampton YMCA, before- and after-camp care is available for an additional charge.
