Welcome to the Bucks County Community College Presidential Search Website

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the appointment of a new President and recognizes the importance of engaging our collective community stakeholders in the recruitment of a new leader.  In order to ensure a national search to find the most appropriate presidential candidates, the Board engaged a highly respected national search firm, Greenwood/Asher & Associates, whose principals are experienced in attracting and recruiting academic leaders.  To ensure the integrity and transparency of this important governance process, the Board designated a Search Oversight Panel consisting of all members of the Board of Trustees and the elected representatives of the College stakeholder constituencies.  To support the Board and assist with the Greenwood/Asher search activities, the Board established a 27 person Search Task Force to assist in the recruitment and evaluation of candidates for the presidential vacancy.  The Search Task Force includes Trustees, Foundation board members, students, faculty, staff, alumni and representatives from the community and our county sponsor.Bucks County Community College is seeking a President for the institution to carry on the College's tradition of providing high quality, affordable education while serving the county community at large.  Our current President, Dr. James J. Linksz, has served our community with honor and distinction for 20 years and announced his intention to retire in 2012.

This website has been created to provide information on the search process and to provide the public with a means of communicating with the Search Task Force.  All Bucks County Community College stakeholders look forward to conducting a comprehensive and transparent search process which will enable the College to continue its contribution to the educational, economic, social and cultural future of Bucks County.
