Come join Historic Preservationist Pat Fisher-Olson for a walking tour of the "Ladies Mile" on Manhattan's West Side, wher the department store was launched. The magnificent architecture that housed NY's most famous department stores between the Civil War and WWI, including Lord & Taylor, B.Altman, Best & Co. and Bergdorf Goodman remains long after the store departed, demonstrating adaptive use that gave the district new life in the 21st century. We will also visit the iconic Flatiron Building, Madison Square Park and the Union Square Greenmarket.
