There’s a Place
January 18 – March 10, 2012
Curated by Sarah McEneaney this exhibition features the work of three Philadelphia area artists:
Eleanor Bystrom, Daniel Gerwin and H. John Thompson. All three artists have strong studio practices. For each, the studio is a personal space where they recollect, conjure and create. Bystrom and Gerwin are predominately painters but both are builders of objects as well. Thompson makes three-dimensional paintings and drawings. All three use memory to speak to issues of place, relationships and time.
Panel discussion with artists: Wednesday, February 8, 2 – 3:30 p.m., Rollins Center, Gallagher Room
Reception: Wednesday, February 8, 5 – 7 p.m. Curator’s gallery talk at 6 p.m.
