Tom Giacabetti Trio Plays the Music of Pat Metheny. Featuring jazz guitarist Tom Giacabetti with Craig Thomas on bass, and Joe Nero on drums.
Master class, 4:30 – 6 p.m. and Concert 7:30 p.m.

Tom Giacabetti (Guitar): Tom Giacabetti is a well known guitarist/educator in the Philadelphia and Atlantic City area. Much sought after for his versatility, Tom has performed in every major theater and showroom in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. He has appeared in concert with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Willingboro and Mellon Jazz Festivals, as well as Temple University, Stockton Performing Arts Center, Rowan University and The University of The Arts. Some of the Jazz artists Tom has performed with include Morganna King, Nancy Wilson, Randy Brecker, Kenny Barron,The Count Basie Orchestra, Dave Brubeck and the Michael Pedicin Quartet. Tom has been a featured artist on the national syndicated T.V.shows "The World of Guitar" and "Miles of Music" . Well respected as an educator, Tom currently teaches music at Temple University, Rowan University, Buck County Community College and the University of the Arts.

Craig Thomas(Bass): Craig Thomas is one of the most in demand bassists and bass educator in Philadelphia. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia Music Academy (now The University of the Arts) Craig also received his Master of Arts  in Music from Rowan University .Craig has played with a vast array of jazz luminaries, including Buddy Rich, Philly Joe Jones, Mel Lewis, Pat Martino and Jimmy Bruno, just to name a few. He has also accompanied such pop icons as Vic Damone, Frank Sinatra and currently has been touring with James Darren and Jimmy Bruno.Craig has also recorded with Jeff Darrohn, Jimmy Bruno, Bobby Watson & Scott Hamilton. His performances and compositions have been reviewed in Downbeat, Just Jazz Guitar, International Society of Bassists Journal and Jazztimes magazines. Craig is an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the University of Delaware. 

Joe Nero (Drums): Joe Nero is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Known for his versatility as a drummer and percussionist, Joe has worked in every major theater and showroom in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. He has toured worldwide with such diverse artists as Bette Midler, Burt Bacharach, Bernadette Peters, Andy Williams, Anthony Newley, Bobby Rydell and Frankie Avalon. He has also performed with jazz artists Tony Bennett, Eddie Gomez, Bill Watrous, Kurt Elling, Jimmy Bruno, Larry McKenna. He has recorded with various artists for Sony, Philly International and Atlantic Records. He currently teaches at University of the Arts where he is coordinator of percussion studies.
