Welcome! Plans are shaping up for the Middle Atlantic Women’s Studies Association Conference to be held at Bucks County Community College on Saturday, March 31, 2007. We are busy working on conference schedules and presentations, and we are ready to announce our keynote speakers and to accept registration forms. More specific details about the conference will be posted at this site later, so please check regularly for that information.
Bucks County is located outside of Philadelphia and has many cultural and artistic attractions. You can find information about our College at www.bucks.edu and by clicking on the “Lodging and Location” link.
We have two keynote speakers scheduled, Lecturer and Consultant Paula Rothenberg and Professor of New Media and Performance Studies, Sandy Stone. We are thrilled to have such distinguished speakers at the conference, and we invite you to check out their website links for further information.
We have several exhibitions planned; also, we’ll provide you with a nourishing lunch, which is included in the cost of registration. More will be posted about those events at a later date.
Finally, we urge you to participate by answering our “Call for Papers” and by attending this important event. We welcome students, graduate and undergraduate, and we expect their participation in panels as well.
Mark Saturday, March 31, 2007 on your calendar now! Registration brochures will be distributed soon; in the meantime, our registration form will be posted on this site in a few days. The cost is $60 for MAWSA members and guests; $30 for student; and $70 for on-site registrants.
