Harp Therapy: Learn to Play the
Folk Harp for Your Own Healing:
Beginner Province
All classes will be taught by Edie Elkan, MALS,
HCMHT, Founding Director
Since ancient times the harp has been understood
to have unique healing properties that affect not
only the recipient of the music, but the harpist as
well. The only instrument that is embraced when
played, some claim that the harp's gentle
vibrations touch the very core of their being. We
use small 23-26 string, highly portable lap harps
and learn to play from our hearts using a gentle
and highly nurturing method of study. A music
background while helpful, is not necessary. More
important is your desire to make beautiful music
on a beautiful instrument. Harps are available for
rent or purchase. Please call Bedside Harp
directly at 215-752-7599 to arrange for an
instrument prior to the first class. Classes are
kept small to assure individualized attention. Enrollment is limited to 6 students per section.
