Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can Join Bucks Clubs and Organizations?
  • All currently enrolled Bucks students.

Q: Is their a time of year when I can join something?

  • No! You can join a club any time of the year. Contact the Student Life Office 215-968-8257 if you have specific questions about a group.

Q: I have an idea for a club. Can i start a new club or organization?

  • Yes! There are few restrictions involved in forming new student clubs.

Here is the basic process:

  1. You must completely fill out all paperwork from the Student Life Office
  2. You must find a full or part time faculty or staff member to act as the official advisor
  3. You must create a Constitution
  4. You must gain apporval by a majority vote by the Student Government Association to obtain status as an officially recognized student ogranization of Bucks.

Q: My group isn't official yet, but I want to reserve a room and hold an event to build my membership. Is that allowed?

  • No. An organization must be officially recognized by the Student Government and the College prior to requesting and utilizing College facilities for activity purposes. The College will establish priority for use of its facilities.

How to join a club using this website:

  1. Look at the list below and read about each club.
  2. Fill out the club interest form and submit it to the Student Life Office.   You may select more then one club and Student Life will forward you contact info to each club advisor you have selected.
  3. If you have questions,  email the club advisor and be sure to ask when and where their next meeting will be held.
  4. If you don't hear from a club contact,  please email Carol Watson in the Student Life Office at  brandtc@bucks.edu and be sure and put you in touch with someone from the club.

Anime Club (Meetings at Newtown) Inactive status, currently need a club advisor
The purpose of the club is to offer an enrichment of the japanese culture through anime (japanese animation) to the students of Bucks. Also, to gather together fans of the culture and the genre.

The objectives of this club is to function as a cocurricular group whose focus is to further their knowledge and understanding of 3 dimensional art, it’s ideation and processes. They meet every second Friday of the month at 2 pm in 3D Arts Center.

The purpose of this club is to provide a positive support unit for African American students here at Bucks, and serve as a cultural, educational and social resource for the college. Bucks County Printmaking Society  (Meetings at Newtown)
The purpose of this club is to support printmaking and papermaking as vital contemporary art forms and encourage the appreciation of the printed image and all related media. They meet Thursdays at 7 pm in Hicks 106.

The purpose of this club is to offer Caving, Camping and Climbing to students of Bucks in regards to the conservation and protection of the wildlife and environment.

The Centurion Newspaper   (Meetings at Newtown)
The College’s student newspaper, reports campus activities, student opinions, and community news. Students gain valuable experience in all aspects of newspaper production. Students interested in writing for the paper, should contact the newspaper’s office in the Rollins Center, Room 128. The Centurion is published weekly during the fall and spring semesters.

The purpose of this club is to create an environment that enables its members to grow in technical proficiency of their ceramics skills and a forum for discussion of the nature of art, craft, and industry.

Gay- Straight Alliance (GSA) @ UBC (Meet at the Peraksie)

The purpose is to provide a safe haven for LGBTQA (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Questioning/Queer Ally) individuals on campus. Furthermore, the club should work towards eliminating societal barriers that prevent LGBTQA members from participating fully in campus live.
