Volleyball honors 2nd year player with a win
On October 16, 2012, Bucks Athletics and Buck's Women's Volleyball honored its 2nd year student-athlete, Rachel Haeuser. Bucks followed up its straight set win over Lehigh on Monday, October 15, 2012 with a 3-1 victory against Manor. This marked the Centurions first winning streak of the season. Bucks took the first two sets 25-21, 25-22. Manor win the 3rd and took the momentum setting up a 4th set. It was an even game in the 4th with multiple rallies but Bucks pulled ahead to complete the win the final set by a score of 25-21.
Immediately after the match with teammates, coaches, friends and family, Assistant Athletic Director, Justin Burroughs presented Rachel Hauser with a photo plaque honoring her time as a student-athlete a Bucks County Community College. "Rachel was a large part of the program" stated Mr. Burroughs, "she helped bring Volleyball back to Bucks". Haeuser was the only remaining student-athlete from last year when the team went to the EPCC semi-finals. Head Coach, Recklau remarked, "Rachel (Haeuser) was important to our team, not just on the court, but off it as well".
The Centurions will finish their season at home on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 against the nation's 10th ranked team in Northampton County College with a 7PM start.
