Bucks enters Region XIX in more sports
For over a decade, Bucks Centurions Athletics have competed in the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC) of the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association (PCAA). The Centurions have been very successful during their time in the league winnining numerous EPCC & PCAA championships in the sports of Golf, Men's Soccer, Baseball and Team Tennis. They have had multiple student-athletes named to the All-EPCC and All-State teams in almost all participating sports.
Officially, the Bucks Centurions have switched conferences to Region XIX of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in the sports of Women's Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball (2012-13). These sports will join Men's and Women's Soccer and Baseball, which just started its first season in the league. The new conference will allow Bucks student-athletes to be eligible for All-Region and All-American teams with vying for Regional, District and National Championships.
The NJCAA is made up of regions across the country. Bucks is in Region XIX made up of 2 year colleges in Eastern Pennsyvania, New Jersey and Delaware. The Rgion is further broken down into two conferences for league play, the Eastern Pennsylania Athletic Conference (EPAC) which Bucks is a member of and the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC).
The EPCA is currently comprised of 12 member institutions; Luzerne County Community College, Lehigh-Carbon Community College, Northampton Community College, Stevens Institute of Technology, Montgomery County Community College, Bucks County Commmunity College, Harrisburg Area Community College, Harcum College, Lackawanna College, Williamson Trade, Delaware County Community College and Manor College.
