Bucks Soccer Players Receive Awards
10/24/12 (Men's Soccer & Women's Soccer)
Numerous Men's and Women’s soccer student-athletes were named to All-Region and All-Conference on teams. On 10/22/12 the EPAC league office announced that Bucks County Community College Men's Soccer players James Traynor, Jared Dickson and Michael Klimowicz were named to the All Conference team. On 10/24/12 the Region XIX league office announced 5 Bucks student-athletes have been honored. Women's Soccer players Jessica Williams and Samantha Kilpatrick were named to the First Team All-Region and Kelly Scheer was named to the Second Team. Men's Soccer Players James Traynor was named to the First Team All-Region and Stefan Hoffman was named to the Second Team.
Jessica Williams (1st Team All-Region) had a record breaking year setting numerous individual records (most goals, assists & points) while accomulating 15 goals and 7 assists this season. The sophomore is currently in the top 20 in the country in goals scored and total points. Williams was a 2 year starter and was selected to the 2nd team All-Region in 2011.
Samantha Kilpatrick (1st Team All-Region) know as the backbone of the defense which helped the Centurions to only 1.08 goals against per game average. The sophomore captain also scored 1 goal and had 2 assists as defender. Kilpatrick was a 2 year starter and was selected to the 2nd team All-Region in 2011.
Kelly Scheer (2nd Team All-Region) may have been the most improved player from her first season in 2010. Her sophomore season she supported the attack by contributing 7 goals with 4 assists. Scheer was with the team in their first season in the NJCAA; Region XIX.
James Traynor (1st Team All-Region, 1st Team All-Conference) had a break out season and was top 20 in the country in assists and points. The sophomore captain ended the season with 11 goals and 8 assists while playing both a forward and midfielder for the Centurions. Traynor was a 2 year starter now is the co-holder of the career assists record with 12.
Jared Dickson (1st Team All-Conference) was mister versitile for Bucks playing every position except goalkeeper. The 2 year sophomore was one of the top defenders and midfielders in 2011 and started the season in midfield in 2012. After he moved up to forward, Dickson began to show his worth by ending season with 14 goals and 5 assists leading the team in scoring. Dickson finsihed 11th on the nations scoring list and 16th in total points in the country.
Michael Klimowicz (1st Team All-Conference) was not only the last line of the defense but the controlling voice in the back. After having split time in goal in 2011, the sophomore captain stepped up and provide the team with 6 shut-outs and season of memorable highlight saves. Klimowicz is now the co-holder of shut-outs in a season with 6.
Stefan Hoffman (2nd Team All-Region) was quiet, consistent and the only freshman at Bucks to receive an award this season. He started every game in midfield while distributing the ball, making play, making tackles and keeping possession. Hoffman's 1st year campaign had 2 goals and 2 assists which included 1 game winning goal.
