Centurions win in Double OT

10/26/13 (Men's Soccer)

The Centurions men's soccer team extended their season with a 2-1 double overtime victory on Saturday afternoon against Northampton County College in the Region XIX playoffs.

After a scoreless first half, freshman midfielder, Geremy Sholtz scored a minute into the second half. Northampton's Ryan Gunderman almost immediated retailated to draw the teams even.  James Haslett scored 2:49 into the second overtime off a Wayne Horger throw-in to give Bucks County Community College the victory. "We are all banged up" said Head Coach, Justin Burroughs, "a lot of guys stepped up and contrubited to this victory".

The win had it's cost as Matt Zarro and Winston Cephas injuries may prevent the starters from playing in the next round of the tournament.

The Centurions will travel to play the Regions top seeded team and 11th in the country, Camden County College on Tuesday, October 29th at 2:30PM.
