Men's Basketball defeats Johnson
11/16/13 (Men's Basketball)
The Centurion Men's Basketball played passionately in their 65-62 victory over Johnson College on Saturday afternoon.
The lead changed multiple times through out the game with neither team gaining complete control. With the score tied at 62 and less the 20 seconds remaining on the clock, freshman Kelvin Cobbs-Jackson drove to the basket to make an acrobatic shot to give the Centurions a 2 point lead. After a time out, Johnson tried to repond with a drive of their own but just as the player release the ball, Bucks' Terreick Williams block the shot. Johnson was force to foul the Centurions Center, William Davis, who converted 1 of 2 free throws. Johnson tried a long desperation three pointer but was off target.
With the win, the Centurions improve their record to 1-3. Their next game they play host to Thaddeus Stevens College in an EPAC conference game on Tuesday, November 19th at 7pm.
