Bucks Men's Basketball Recap 2012-13
4/15/13 (Men's Basketball)
The Centurion Men's Basketball team had a difficult first season in Region XIX and the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. Bucks finished tied for 7th in the EPAC and their only win was against conference opponent, Luzerne CC. The Centurions were a young team, not just the players but in the coaching staff. With a entire team of freshmen, except for the team captain, Tyler Nicol, and first year head coach and first year assistant, Bucks struggled to find cohesiveness throughout the year.
"The 2013-2014 season should be a much improved year" said Coach Perry. "Injuries really took its toll on us this season with many players missing significant time which hurt our chemistry on the court". Most games were close for a period but large lapses by Bucks in each game, caused the lopsided results. Bucks will lose Tyler Nicol (11.6 point average & 8.1 rebounds average) as the team's only sophomore player. The team has a solid core of players possible to start next season which include starting guards, Wayne McNeely (1.7 assists average, 5.4 points average), Shane Davis (13.9 points average) and Giovanni Romero (37% in Three-pointers).
The Centurions finished the 2012-2013 season with a 1-15 overall record and 1-13 record in the EPAC.
