Bucks Baseball Defeats Delaware
Bucks County Community College baseball has already equaled win total from the previous season. "We had a slow start to the season but are starting to play well together" stated first year head coach, Jeff Cochrane. The Centurions dropped their first 4 games of the season before winning their first of the season against non-conference opponent, Union County College. Bucks then split against another non-conference team, Raritan Valley CC losing the first and winning the second.
On Tuesday, April 9th, Bucks traveled to play EPAC opponent, Delaware County Community College. The Centurions started slowly falling behind 2-6 after 5 innings. Bucks rallied to cut the lead down to 1 by the end of the 6th. They completed the comeback with a 5 run 8th inning and Delaware County was unable to answer. Final score Bucks 10-Delaware County 8. Matthew Creevey was the winning pitcher.
The win brings the Centurions record overall record to 3-5 and EPAC record to 1-3. Bucks will travel for their next game to play EPAC leader, Northampton County College in a double header on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 12:00PM.
