Bucks start Region XIX play

On March 7, 2012, Bucks season officially began. It is a tough introduction to Region XIX play opening up against the 2nd ranked team in the nation, Gloucester County College, losing 30-2. The Centurions were shocked early with an offensive barrage from Gloucester scoring 9 runs in the 1st inning and 11 runs in the 3rd. Bucks scored twice in the 4th after they regained some composure. Head Coach, Don Perry stated, "We clearly have a lot of work ahead of us in order to get up to their level of play, but I'm confident and hopeful that we'll get there."

On March 8, 2012, Bucks showed tremendous improvement but still fell to Middlesex County College 2-1 in Region XIX play. With the first day jitters out of the way, the Centurions played a much improved game. Pitching and defensive started to click and Bucks showed flashes of why Coach Perry is excited for this team and season. Bucks is off until after spring break when they travel to Atlantic Cape on March 23rd for a double header at 2:00PM.
