Women's Basketball Win Season Opener

The Centurion Women's Basketball team opened up the season by defeating Delaware County Community College Tuesday evening by a score of 41-38. The home debut feature an intense battle with Bucks showing off their new uniforms. The game was close throughout the contest and the lead changed several times during the game.  "Our sophomore players today wanted to show how far they have come and they really made a statement" said 3rd year head coach, Lori Sullivan. "We fought hard the entire game and defended well down the stretch". Sophomore forward and co-captain Shannon Swift had a record breaking night leading the Centurions with 16 points. Second year players, Sabrina Bollendorf (6 points), Jacqueline Kramer (9 points, 2 steals), Regina Karluah (4 rebounds, 3 steals), and Shayla Panniel (5 points, 14 rebounds) helped place the Centurions.

Swift set Bucks individual game records for Rebounds (17), Steals (5) and Blocks (6).

The win gives Bucks an EPAC record of 1-0 and an overal record of 1-0. They next travel to play the Community College of Philadelphia at CCP on Thursday, November 14, 2013 with a 6:00PM start.
