Why a Library Coffee Hour?

The library is committed to creating an inviting atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. The primary function of the library is to provide you with information, research tools, and aid to help you succeed academically. The library also provides an excellent environment for research, study, and reading. By initiating the Library Coffee Hour series we hope to encourage more people to come out and see the library, and to have a little fun. We feel it is okay to occasionally break the tradition of quiet in the library by providing a forum for coffee, tea, and snacks as well as some light music. We hope you'll come out and join us for the next coffee hour.

Past Events

The Coffee Hours held on Wednesday and Thursday, September 20 and 21, brought together students (left), library volunteers (center), and faculty (Prof. Jack Byer, right), who enjoyed coffee, baked goods, and a display of new library books.
