If you enjoy singing and performing this camp is for you. Have fun singing and performing your favorite Karaoke songs. Dress up and become your favorite Pop Star. All performances will be video recorded. Campers will learn basic vocal warm-up and performance techniques as well as participate in singing games and Lip sync competitions.

Join us for a week of design, creating and building with a variety of materials. Our imaginations will run wild as we build catapults, flotation devices for action figures, marble ramps, water slides and the tallest tower.

Camp Half-Blood will allow campers to experience the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the book series by Rick Riordan. Campers will be sorted into their cabins based on personality types aligned with their “Mythological parent”. We will create Camp Half-Blood crafts based on Greek Mythology and play capture the flag and other games, contests, and challenges, both mental and physical that are inspired by the Percy Jackson series and other stories from mythology.  We will have team challenges of skills and knowledge and the week will culminate in a “quest” (scavenger hunt) where the campers are pitted against “monsters” and nefarious creatures who try to prevent them from finding the prize.

No need to sit on the sidelines bored! Learn fun cheers and dances to pep up your favorite team in Cheer Spirit Camp. Cheerleading campers will enjoy a week full of cheer games, chants, dances, simple stunts and simple gymnastics. Get your pompoms ready for a week of excitement.

ELECTRONIC FASHIONS RCHYC 6099 C01

Campers will learn the basics of electric circuits, how to sew basic circuits in fabric, and how to control their circuits with a sew-able microcontroller. Controls will include responding to light, buttons, switches, or other input sensors. Campers will take home several projects that demonstrate what they have learned.

Create drawings, animations, and photo slideshows. The course will cover the basics of vector based drawing, use drawing tools, strokes, fills and gradients to convey your message. Use tweening to create motion – without programming!  Use the timeline to create fascinating animations, masks, and more! Produce graphics, buttons and movie clips to create moving pictures to share with family and friends.

In this hands-on camp, students will create DIY projects using such tools as MakeyMakey, Drawdio, as well as using and implementing the fundamental workings of Tinkercad, an online CAD design tool which students and adults alike use for 3D modeling and 3D printing. These are very simple but cool and effective ways to learn design, electronics, art and STEAM ideas.

Prerequisites: Students must have one year of instrumental instruction, play a traditional concert band instrument, and be able to bring a working instrument to camp each day.
