Please join us in making Faculty of the Future 2010 a success. Last year, this one-day conference attracted 200 attendees from 40 institutions and seven states to share and learn successful teaching and learning initiatives through presentations, roundtables, and networking. This year's conference, our eighth annual, will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010, and is open to all educators and administrators who are committed to improvement in all areas of community college education.

Registration with a continental breakfast begins the day.
Dr. Larry Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of the New Media Consortium (NMC), will deliver the keynote address.
Thereafter, participants will attend a series of breakout sessions according to their individual interests.
A mid-day luncheon, breaks between sessions, and a post-conference wine and cheese reception will provide additional time and venues to discuss the day and to network with colleagues and vendors.
A full description of the sessions will be provided on our conference website prior to the conference.
There are no specific demands or topics for this conference. This
is YOUR conference to share and learn. Last year we had four
"threads" to our presentations: Professional Development;
Technology; Teaching and Learning; Assessment; and
Engagement. We also have our "Cool Stuff" thread if your
accepted paper does not fit into any of the above threads!
While all topics are welcome, some of the consistently popular
topics from past conferences include:

Proposals are now being accepted for one-hour presentations or panel discussions.
The proposal submission form and more information on the conference can be accessed on this web site soon. All proposals must be submitted electronically.
The proposal submission deadline is Friday, April 9, 2010.
As an incentive to present, we are waiving the conference fee for the primary presenter or panel leader.
For presenters, the conference offers the opportunity to share your successes with your regional colleagues. It also affords both you and your institution the deserved recognition for being a leader in faculty and learning development. As an attendee, you will have a rare opportunity to meet and hear national leaders in your fields at a local institution; to learn practical solutions to actual problems; and to form working relationships with regional colleagues.
This conference is an excellent opportunity to develop and experience new pedagogical skills both for the face-to-face classroom and the virtual classroom. You will gain valuable insight into the learning process; the abilities, needs and expectations of future students; and the role of the teacher as a leader.
Likewise, the networking opportunities to interact with speakers and other attendees will add to the benefits of the sessions. In addition, ample time will be offered to visit our vendor partners.
