Event Information
Join us for a reflection on gendered citizenship, familial identities, and belonging/s, the exhibition consists of video, re-purposed objects, paintings, and prints by artists Catherine Pancake, Michelle Angela Ortiz, and Imani Roach. Each of the individual artists’ work considers personal history and citizenship as a multi-tiered construct which applies to membership, position, and relationship between the individual, community, state, and society. Curated by Maria Dumlao.
Schedule of Events:
Artist Panel from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm in Grupp Hall, Room 257. The exhibit artists will discuss their work as individual artists and in the context of the exhibition.
Reception from 5:00 pm– 7:00 pm in the Hicks Art Center Gallery.
Meet the artists and enjoy refreshments. Curator’s talk at 6 pm.
