Canvas (by Instructure)

Your course is using Canvas. If you are new to Canvas, please visit the Canvas Basics course space to become familiar with Canvas prior to the start of your course. No login is required to access this space.

You will be able to login to Canvas about two weeks prior to the start of your class. However, your course becomes available as of 1 AM on the official course start date.

Logging In

Log in to your Canvas course space at bucks.instructure.com

  • Username: Your username is the same for every system at Bucks.
  • Password: your Bucks Network password (used to log into any Bucks campus computer or to access any Bucks Library online database from off campus.)

If you do not know your Bucks Username, go to WebAdvisor. Select Account information (upper right hand corner of the screen) then select What's My User ID? and follow the prompts. You will need to provide your last name AND either your 7 digit student ID number OR your social security #. Your Bucks username will display on the screen.

Note: Students are uploaded to Canvas several times a day. If you registered late, you won't be able to access Canvas until the next upload takes place.


Purchasing Your Books and Other Course Materials

While you may purchase your books and other course materials from the provider of your choice (using the ISBN number available through the course's academic department where applicable to ensure the correct version), both the campus bookstore and our online bookstore, guarantee that they stock the correct version for your course.

Other Information about the Course

The first day of the semester is OUR first day of class!!! You will need to login to the Canvas course space and complete the orientation and Orientation Quiz. You then immediately start the first Learning Module! You will have assessments due BEFORE our first face-to-face class meeting in our Connect Plus course space.

All presentations, Homework Assignments, Final Exam, and Assessments (i.e. Exams and Quizzes)of Learning Modules or Chapters will be performed online (in Connect Plus); except for labs. Labs and further guidance of the Learning Modules will be on scheduled f2f meeting dates. If you would like to meet f2f for appointments, these can be scheduled as necessary as well.

Exams and assignments will be online components, except for the Final Exam. The Final Exam will be administered via the testing center on one of the three BCCC campuses. The Final Exam will be available to take over a couple of days.

You are required to purchase the textbook, Anatomy & Physiology: The Unity of Form and Function by Saladin (6th ed.), and a Connect Plus access code. The BCCC Bookstore provides two textbook options, one unbound and one bound/hardback, which both come with Connect Plus. The unbound book has an ISBN #9780077925543. The bound book has an ISBN #9780077925550. You are also required to purchase a lab book by Wood Part 2, which has been modified for BCCC. The lab book has an ISBN #9781256729037. Lastly you will need to purchase a dissecting kit for lab. The bookstore does have them to purchase.
