Your instructor will hold the orientation online using self-paced tools, email and/or discussions. (A self-paced orientation does NOT mean the entire course is self-paced.) You should plan to access your online course no later than the first day of the session. Failure to do so may jeopardize your grade.

Other Orientation Information
The instructor will send information about the course and how to register at MyMathLab to BCCC student email accounts approximately one week before the beginning of the course. All students are expected to follow the steps in the 'Getting Started' email attachment to successfully register at MyMathLab in the first week of the course.

Accessing Your Course

MyMathLab

Your course is using MyMathLab, which requires the purchase of an access code. This code is usually packaged with a new textbook, but may also be purchased separately from the MyMathLab website if it is not included with your book.

Information about MyMathLab can be found at http://www.mymathlab.com. Please check the systems Requirement page to verify your computer compatibility.

Your instructor will provide an additional course code you will need to access your specific course.

Purchasing Your Books and Other Course Materials

While you may purchase your books and other course materials from the provider of your choice (using the ISBN number available through the course's academic department where applicable to ensure the correct version), both the campus bookstore and our online bookstore, guarantee that they stock the correct version for your course.

Other Information about the Course
Students may purchase the textbook, packaged with the required access code for MyMathLab, from the bookstore or may purchase just the access code online and use the online version of the textbook. It is only slightly more expensive to purchase the textbook packaged with the required access code from the bookstore. Students are also required to have a TI-83 or TI-84 calculator.

Students will be required to take 3 online tests at testing centers on any of the BCCC campuses. Options for other testing locations require the approval of the instructor. Please note: All tests must be taken in a proctored environment. In addition students are required to take 6 online quizzes. This course follows an assigned schedule and is not a self-paced course.
