Other Information about the Course |
Welcome to my class! This is a calculus-based course for engineering and science majors. Topics include Newtonian mechanics of particles and rigid bodies, gravity, and mechanical vibrations. Although this course is structured in an asynchronous, flexible style, there are deadlines to meet within the course of the semester, so be sure to check the class schedule for quiz and lab deadlines. Although you will not be required to log into the course space at any particular time of the day, I log into the course space several times a day; and I am available for questions and concerns on a regular basis, every day. I participate in the discussion forum regularly to guide and correct if necessary, AFTER ample time has been given for you to answer forum questions or to respond to comments from fellow classmates. If you have urgent or private questions or problems, please email me and I will respond promptly. Quizzes and exams are graded automatically and your grade will appear in the grade book, AFTER the quiz or exam period has ended. Partial credit may be given for exams after I receive your numbered work for each problem from the Testing Center.
Please purchase your text and Exploration of Physics Volume I CD as soon as possible. The CD and accompanying binder may be purchased from the bookstore for $16. Do not purchase it from an online site. It will coast too much. |
