Course ID Located on your Course Information sheet sent to you by your instructor a few days before the start of class.

Orientation for this course will be delivered to your Bucks email. Please check your Bucks e-mail account about a week before classes start with directions for your Orientation. Once you are familiar with your responsibilities of the course, you will be asked to register in MyLab & Mastering. MyLab & Mastering is the platform that we will be using for this course, not Canvas.

Once you are registered and log into MyLab & Mastering, there will be an Orientation Quiz that you must take in order to proceed with any of your homeworks. How to find the quiz will be included in the Orientation video and syllabus.

You can purchase your text book from the bookstore before orientation and that way you will have the required code to register in MyLab & Mastering. Do not purchase a "used textbook" from any website. You will need the MyLab & Mastering code that comes with the purchase of a "new" textbook. This code has a separate value of about $85. I believe a new text and code will cost you about $120.

Accessing Your Course

MyLab / Mastering

Your course is using MyLab / Mastering by Pearson, which requires the purchase of an access code. This code is usually packaged with a new textbook, but may also be purchased separately from the MyLab / Mastering website if it is not included with your book.

While you may purchase your books and other course materials from the provider of your choice (using the ISBN number available through the course's academic department where applicable to ensure the correct version), both the campus bookstore and our online bookstore, guarantee that they stock the correct version for your course.

Dear eLearning Student,

It is important that you know all tests must be taken at BCCC on a computer in the testing center. Once at the testing center and registered, you will be given a password that will allow you to take the test. If you can not make it to campus for testing, you will have to make appropriate arrangements for a proctor before the first day of classes.

Once registered and logged into MyLab & Mastering, please begin to familiarize yourself with the website. The e-book can be difficult to find. You can find the sections we will be covering by clicking on "Text Book Sections" on the left side of the page. Videos to these sections can be found by clicking on "Videos" also on the left side of the page. The other buttons are somewhat self explanatory. Please pay special attention to Lecture Notes. All the notes and practice problems can be found there. I look forward to working with you this semester and answering any of your questions. If your questions can not wait, feel free to contact me via e-mail. I will answer all e-mails Monday through Friday.
