Dear E-Learning Student,
This course is set up a little different than other E-Learning courses you may have taken here at Bucks. We will be using the program Aleks as the main point of entrance into our course.
There is a required code that must be purchased for this website. The code comes free with the purchase of a new text book, which can be purchased at the bookstore. Please do not purchase any books or codes until you receive the Orientation information via your Bucks e-mail. All homework will be completed in Aleks.
In order to register with Aleks you will to purchase a registration code and a Course ID (which will be given to you by your instructor). All directions on "how" to register will be sent to you a couple of days before the start of class.
All homework will be completed on line in Aleks. If you fall further than two weeks behind in your assignments, I reserve the right to withdrawal you from the course.
All tests must be taken at one of Bucks's Testing Centers. If this is not possible, proper arrangements for proctoring must be completed before the first day of classes. There are no exceptions.
The Orientation will help clarify the many questions you may have. It will also be a good opportunity to learn how to navigate the Aleks site.
Please, if you have any questions prior to receiving your e-mail about orientation, feel free to contact me at terminej@bucks.edu . (E-mail is the best way to contact me.)
