Accessing Your Course

Canvas (by Instructure)

Your course is using Canvas. If you are new to Canvas, please visit the Canvas Basics course space to become familiar with Canvas prior to the start of your course. No login is required to access this space.

You will be able to login to Canvas about two weeks prior to the start of your class. However, your course becomes available as of 1 AM on the official course start date.

Logging In

Log in to your Canvas course space at bucks.instructure.com

  • Username: Your username is the same for every system at Bucks.
  • Password: your Bucks Network password (used to log into any Bucks campus computer or to access any Bucks Library online database from off campus.)

If you do not know your Bucks Username, go to WebAdvisor. Select Account information (upper right hand corner of the screen) then select What's My User ID? and follow the prompts. You will need to provide your last name AND either your 7 digit student ID number OR your social security #. Your Bucks username will display on the screen.

Note: Students are uploaded to Canvas several times a day. If you registered late, you won't be able to access Canvas until the next upload takes place.

Other Information about the Course

Thank you for your interest in HLTH200. I hope that you will benefit immensely from the many experiences you will have to explore various aspects of women's health. Please note that this course is an e-learning course through Canvas. ALL aspects of the courses (assignments, examinations, and postings) are completed online through Canvas. At least 1 week prior to the start of classes, a WELCOME EMAIL will be sent to all registered students BCCC email account providing additional information regarding the course and the course format.

Orientation: There will be a mandatory online orientation session for all students to complete once classes start. Students will have access to the course space and online orientation on the first day of classes. To complete the online orientation, the student must enter the course space and click on the "Online Orientation - Start Here" icon. Students must successfully complete the online orientation (e.g., score a 100% (9) on the quiz) to gain full access into the HLTH 200 course space. Students can retake the quiz multiple times.

This course uses a course management system called Canvas. Additionally, students are encouraged to view the Canvas Basics course space at https://bucks.instructure.com/courses/36545 (no login required) or schedule an appointment with the Technology Learning Center for Canvas instruction at tlc@bucks.edu. This programs will assist students in understanding Canvas and e-learning course, additionally it will aid in the technological aspects of the course.
