Orientation for this course is REQUIRED.
Failure to participate in a REQUIRED orientation, as specified below, may jeopardize your grade.
Your instructor will hold the orientation online using self-paced tools, email and/or discussions. (A self-paced orientation does NOT mean the entire course is self-paced.) You should plan to access your online course no later than the first day of the session. Failure to do so may jeopardize your grade.
Other Orientation Information
You will be sent information via your Bucks e-mail a few days before the start of class on how to begin your course. You must retrieve this information in order to start the course. Please be prepared to purchase an Aleks code from the bookstore or from online at Aleks.com with a valid credit card. Your cost for access to the program Aleks will be about $30-$35. You will need a Course ID, so you can not register on line without this code. It will be part of the information sent to your Bucks email account.

Other Information about the Course
The Fast Track mathematics program is designed for those students who feel the placement test results do not reflect their true mathematical ability and knowledge, and for those students who would like to
refresh and strengthen their mathematical skills. Participation in this program could potentially allow you to complete your course of studies in mathematics in less time. If you are one of these students you are invited to take part in this program this semester.
You will have a little less than three weeks to complete as much of the program as you can. Your placement will depend on a final assessment given in the program Aleks. You will be able to take the final assessment from your home computer.
You will also be asked to sign a contract stating that you read and understand the requirements of the course.
Initial placement (or starting point) will be determined by your Bucks placement score.
Please remember to look in your Bucks email for the start up information a few days before the course starts. Also, if you have any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me at...
