Canvas (by Instructure)
Your course is using Canvas. If you are new to Canvas, please visit the
Canvas Basics course space
to become familiar with Canvas prior to the start of your course. No login is required to
access this space.
You will be able to login to Canvas about two weeks prior to the start of your class.
However, your course becomes available as of 1 AM on the official course
start date.
Logging In
Log in to your Canvas course space at
bucks.instructure.com
- Username: Your username is the same for every system at Bucks.
- Password: your Bucks Network password (used to log into any Bucks campus computer or to access any Bucks Library online database from off campus.)
If you do not know your Bucks Username, go to WebAdvisor.
Select Account information (upper right hand corner of the screen) then select What's My User ID? and follow
the prompts. You will need to provide your last name AND either your 7 digit student ID number OR your
social security #. Your Bucks username will display on the screen.
Note: Students are uploaded to Canvas several times a day. If you registered late, you won't be
able to access Canvas until the next upload takes place.

While you may purchase your books and other course materials from the provider of your choice (using the
ISBN number available through the course's academic department
where applicable to ensure the correct version), both the campus bookstore
and our online bookstore,
guarantee that they stock the correct version for your course.

Other Information about the Course |
Thank you for your interest in HLTH200. I hope that you will benefit immensely from the many experiences you will have to explore various aspects of women's health. Please note that this course is an e-learning course through Canvas. ALL aspects of the courses (assignments, examinations, and postings) are completed online through the Canvas course space. At least 1 week prior to the start of classes, a WELCOME EMAIL will be sent to all registered students BCCC email account providing additional information regarding the course and the course format.
Orientation:
There will be a mandatory online orientation session for all students to complete once classes start. Students will have access to the course space and online orientation on the first day of classes. To complete the online orientation, the student must enter the course space and click on the "Online Orientation - Start Here" icon. Students must successfully complete the online orientation (e.g., score a 100% (9) on the quiz) to gain full access into the HLTH 200 course space. Students can retake the quiz multiple times.
This course uses a course management system called Canvas. Additionally, students are encouraged to attend the Online Learning Kickoff Event or schedule an one-hour workshops sponsored by the Online Learning Office. This programs will assist students in understanding Canvas and e-learning course, additionally it will aid in the technological aspects of the course. All of the recommended components (OL Kickoff Event, Canvas Training, and etc) contains information you will need in order to decide if your computer meets the minimal requirements for accessing the course. The materials also contain information on the proper browser settings that must be used with Canvas. If you are unfamiliar with Canvas please read the information and follow the links to find out about scheduled workshops/training sessions.
