This is a calculus-based course for engineering and science majors. Topics include Newtonian mechanics of particles and rigid bodies, gravity, and mechanical vibrations.
Although this course is structured in an asynchronous, flexible style, there are deadlines to meet within the course of the semester, so be sure to check my Canvas Home Page for quiz and lab deadlines. Although you will not be required to log into the course space at any particular time of the day, I log into the course space several times a day; and I am available for questions and concerns on a regular basis, every day. I participate in the discussion forum regularly to guide and correct if necessary, AFTER ample time has been given for you to answer forum questions or to respond to comments from fellow classmates. If you have urgent or private questions or problems, please email me and I will respond promptly.
Quizzes are graded automatically and your grade will appear in the grade book, AFTER the quiz period has ended.
Exams are proctored and are given in the Bucks Testing Center. Partial credit may be given for exams after I receive your numbered work for each problem from the Testing Center.
If you are in a remote location and require a proctor for exams, YOU MUST SUBMIT A REMOTE PROCTOR FORM AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE EXAM DATES. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REJECT THE PROPOSED PROCTOR.
