Your instructor will hold the orientation online using self-paced tools, email and/or discussions. (A self-paced orientation does NOT mean the entire course is self-paced.) You should plan to access your online course no later than the first day of the session. Failure to do so may jeopardize your grade.

3. Click on DISCUSSIONS in Canvas. Follow the directions.


HOW?The simplest way to PURCHASE and REGISTER your ACCESS CODE is to have your credit card handy, click on THE WILEY PLUS URL on the CANVAS Homepage, and follow the instructions. PLEASE USE YOUR BCCC EMAIL ADDRESS TO REGISTER if you are a new Wiley Plus student.


If you have an account from last semester, simply CLICK on the Wiley Plus link on the CANVAS HOMEPAGE and register your previously purchased PREMIUM access code using THE SAME email address you used last semester.


If you were in a face to face BCCC Spanish 110, you may have have to purchase a new access code. Go to Wiley Plus Live Chat at for technical help.

5. Once registered in Wiley Plus, click on BROWSER CHECKER. Follow the directions to click on links to add items your computer may be lacking in order for Wiley Plus to function.

6. Click on READ, STUDY PRACTICE. This is the online textbook.

7. Click on ASSIGNMENTS. Click on ORIENTATION TO WILEY PLUS and complete this graded ORIENTATION assignment.

8. Click on GRADEBOOK to see your grade.

9. Click on ORIENTATION TO WIMBA voice assignments and complete it with your microphone.

10. Click on GRADEBOOK to see that this assignment will read TO GRADE until your instructor grades it manually.

Accessing Your Course

Canvas (by Instructure)

Your course is using Canvas. If you are new to Canvas, please visit the Canvas Basics course space to become familiar with Canvas prior to the start of your course. No login is required to access this space.

You will be able to login to Canvas about two weeks prior to the start of your class. However, your course becomes available as of 1 AM on the official course start date.

Logging In

Log in to your Canvas course space at

  • Username: Your username is the same for every system at Bucks.
  • Password: your Bucks Network password (used to log into any Bucks campus computer or to access any Bucks Library online database from off campus.)

If you do not know your Bucks Username, go to WebAdvisor. Select Account information (upper right hand corner of the screen) then select What's My User ID? and follow the prompts. You will need to provide your last name AND either your 7 digit student ID number OR your social security #. Your Bucks username will display on the screen.

Note: Students are uploaded to Canvas several times a day. If you registered late, you won't be able to access Canvas until the next upload takes place.

Welcome to Spanish 111.E59 (Elementary Spanish Two. In this course we will continue to develop the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Please see the BCCC course catalog Foreign Language Placement Guidelines to see if you qualify for this course. If you are a NATIVE SPEAKER of Spanish, this course is not for you. PLEASE CONTACT the BCCC Office of Prior Learning for suggestions.

1. This class will be delivered via Wiley Plus PREMIUM THIRD EDITION (BE SURE TO SIGN UP AT THE CORRECT Wiley Plus URL to avoid difficulties) and the BCCC course management system, Canvas. (See ORIENTATION above).

2. Written work, both homework and graded quizzes will be submitted in Wiley Plus Assignments.

3. Oral assignments will be submitted via WIMBA within Wiley Plus Assignments

4.EXCEPT for the last test, Testing will be done in one of the BCCC Testing Centers.
