Getting Started With This Course

Orientation(s)

Orientation for this course is REQUIRED.
Failure to participate in a REQUIRED orientation, as specified below, may jeopardize your grade.

Online

Your instructor will hold the orientation online using self-paced tools, email and/or discussions. (A self-paced orientation does NOT mean the entire course is self-paced.) You should plan to access your online course no later than the first day of the session. Failure to do so may jeopardize your grade.

Other Orientation Information

I will send a powerpoint to your Bucks e-mail to help you get started.

The online orientation only takes about an hour. You will need to purchase your access or access code before registering into the online course site. The access code comes packaged with the boundless text at the bookstore or you can purchase access into MyLab & Mastering with a credit card or paypal. Go to https://pearsonmylabandmastering.com and click on Student under Register. You will need the Course ID. It is listed below.

Accessing Your Course

MyLab / Mastering

Your course is using MyLab / Mastering by Pearson, which requires the purchase of an access code. This code is usually packaged with a new textbook, but may also be purchased separately from the MyLab / Mastering website if it is not included with your book.

Information about MyLab / Mastering can be found at http://pearsonmylabandmastering.com. Please check the Systems Requirements page to verify your computer compatibility.

Your instructor will provide an additional course code you will need to access your specific course.

Purchasing Your Books and Other Course Materials

While you may purchase your books and other course materials from the provider of your choice (using the ISBN number available through the course's academic department where applicable to ensure the correct version), both the campus bookstore and our online bookstore, guarantee that they stock the correct version for your course.

Approximately 3 weeks prior to the start of the session you can use the link below to see the list of books that have been selected by your instructor. If you have any questions about the course materials listed, please contact your instructor or the academic department directly.

Click this link to see the book list for your course.

Other Information about the Course

This course is set up a little differently than other online classes you may have taken at Bucks. I do not use Canvas for this course. Instead, I use Pearson MyLabs. You only need to purchase the access code or access to the course site. The textbook and the video lectures are online. However, we've made a deal with Pearson so now there is little difference in price for a boundless textbook along with the access code versus just access. You may choose to purchase the text and videos along with the access code or separately at the bookstore. You may also purchase access at https://pearsonmylabandmastering.com. In order to purchase access online or to register into the course once you have an access code, you will need our Course ID. It is angeloXXXXX.(I'll supply the last 5 numbers later.)

All tests (3) are proctored and are available at all three Testing Centers.
