Drivers' Education (minimum age 15)

This 30-hour course will cover the Pennsylvania Driver's manual and all phases of defensive driving, including adverse weather conditions, effects of drug and alcohol abuse, and rules of the road. Completion of this course with approved on-the road driving instruction may make beginner teen drivers eligible for reduced insurance rates. Students do not need a permit or license to begin this class (minimum age 15). Attendance at all classes is required.

Praxis I Test Preparation

The PRAXIS I Series: Academic Skills Assessment is the first step in obtaining teacher certification in PA. It tests students' abilities in reading, writing, and mathematics. This comprehensive course includes a diagnostic pre-test, an exploration of the three components of the exam, as well as test taking strategies.

GED Fast Track

You will focus on enhancing existing skills in reading and math, specifically as related to those needed to pass the GED examination successfully. Intensive instruction in reading for comprehension and in math application skills will be provided, as will strategies for understanding and interpreting charts, graphs, tables, and other math documents as needed for the GED examination. Multiple Official Practice GED tests will be administered. Individual Practice GED test results will be diagnosed, and individualized instruction will be provided based on diagnoses to expedite and focus learning for each participant. Prerequisites: Reading and Math levels of at least 9th grade on Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).
