Bucks County Community College is pleased to offer Bucks After School: An Enrichment Program in the Arts and Sciences

As parents and educators in today's rapidly changing society, we realize the value of enrichment opportunities beyond the school curriculum . To that end, Bucks County Community College, has developed Bucks After Schoo l: An Enrichment Program in the Arts and Sciences. Bucks After School is committed to providing enrichment programs for all children, regardless of academic achievement level, while complementing and expanding the school's curriculum. It is designed to take young students a step beyond what time and budget constraints may allow in a variety of Arts and Science areas, as selected by your child's school.

Bucks After School builds student interest through hands-on, activity-based learning, designed to nurture a child's innate curiosity, foster higher level thinking skills and promote group cooperation. In Bucks After School, the lecture format is rare because students participate directly in multi-disciplinary experiences that become learning adventures. The program is committed to the belief that all children, regardless of achievement level, can learn complex concepts and skills, even beyond their grade level, when the concepts are presented with ample time and direction. As classroom anxiety is a major deterrent to learning, creativity and self-expression, every effort is made to eliminate tension and replace it with motivation and positive reinforcements.

Assumption BVM Fall 2009 Program offerings:

Bucks County Community College is pleased to offer Bucks After School again at Assumption BVM this fall. We are offering a continuing level of Spanish and two new programs - Chinese and Drama.
