Bucks Hosts Spring Open House for Potential Students April 9 at Upper Bucks Campus
Free event at the Perkasie location features representatives from academic departments, campus tours, more
Bucks County Community College is hosting an open house for prospective students from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in the Student Commons area at the Upper Bucks Campus.
Representatives from academic departments will be available for questions and information. Officials from the college’s financial aid and other student-services departments will also be on hand, while campus tours will be conducted by student ambassadors.
Marlene Barlow, Director of Admissions, says the open house is a great opportunity to learn how Bucks can help you reach your educational goals.
“People may be surprised to learn that we’re a competitive choice among college options,” said Barlow. “We continue to strive for improvements both physically and academically, from adding a new science building to introducing new programs to match career opportunities.”
More than 80 majors are offered that lead to either a two-year associate degree or a shorter-term certificate. Courses can be taken at the Newtown Campus, the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie, the Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol, and online through the college’s award-winning virtual campus.
After attending Bucks, most students transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree, while others directly enter the workforce to launch a career.
