11th Annual Women’s Scholarship Tea Raises Nearly $25,000 for Students
More than 100 people contributed to the BCCC Foundation’s Salute to Mothers scholarship by attending the event held in the Tyler Formal Gardens at Newtown
Bucks County Community College, which has been changing lives through education for more than 50 years, raised nearly $25,000 at its 11th annual Women’s Scholarship Tea held this fall in the Tyler Formal Gardens.
The event supports the Bucks County Community College Foundation’s Salute to Mothers scholarship, which provides up to $1,000 a semester to a female student raising a child while attending the public, two-year school. More than 100 people attended the tea, which featured several speakers, live music, finger sandwiches and dessert. The presenting sponsor was Customers Bank.
The Salute to Mothers scholarship is among more than 150 awards administered by the Bucks County Community College Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that raises funds to advance the college’s mission. To learn more, visit www.bucks.edu/discover/foundation.
