Bucks Live! Presents Rag Tag Theater’s ‘Cinderella’ Saturday
Classic tale performed in Italian street theater style of commedia dell’arte takes place November 10 in the Zlock Performing Arts Center
Bucks County Community College, which has been bringing family entertainment to the region for more than 50 years, presents Rag Tag Theater’s “Cinderella” at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 10, at the Newtown campus.
The classic tale, performed in the Italian street theater style known as commedia dell’arte, features larger-than-life characters, colorful song and dance numbers, amusing pop culture references and a great message for kids about the value of self-worth. Winner of Best Family Show from Off Broadway Alliance, the show follows a troupe of actors as they present a hilarious musical romp through the well-known fairy tale, with daffy llamas, roller-skating fairy godmothers, selfie-taking step sisters, and more.
“Cinderella” takes place in the Kevin and Sima Zlock Performing Arts Center, located inside the Gateway Center building on the campus at 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Pa., where there is ample free parking. The theater is equipped with audio-loop technology for the hearing impaired.
