Epstein Campus Hosts Second Primary Congressional Debate Tuesday
Candidates vying for the Republican nomination in the 1st district face off May 1, five days after the Democrats debated on April 26
Bucks County Community College, whose mission is to prepare students to become responsible citizens, will host the second of two debates for candidates seeking their party’s nomination in the 1st Congressional district at the Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks.
Two Republican candidates – incumbent Brian Fitzpatrick and challenger Dean Malik – will debate from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1. The three Democratic candidates – Steve Bacher, Rachel Reddick, and Scott Wallace – faced off on Thursday, April 26.
William Pezza, who teaches political science and American national government at the public, two-year college, is the moderator of both debates. Republicans and Democrats will choose a candidate for Congress in Pennsylvania’s closed primary on Tuesday, May 15. The newly redrawn 1st Congressional district – formerly the 8th district – consists of all of Bucks County and a portion of Eastern Montgomery County.
The public is welcome to attend in the indoor Student Commons of the campus, located at 1304 Veterans Highway, Bristol, Pa., 19007. For more information, contact the Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks at 267-685-4800.
