1. The content of this course will be delivered through weekly learning modules within the Canvas course site. These modules will include a diverse range of tasks to introduce, review, and assess content throughout the semester. Students are expected to move through the modules' activities and assessments each week while demonstrating mastery of content and participating actively within the Canvas course site.
2. Students WILL BE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE an electronic version of the textbook, which will also include access to the VHL website, online workbook, and many other components. These resources will be used throughout the semester to introduce and review content from the course. In addition, the VHL website will be used to complete various activities and quizzes.
3. There will be several performance based assessments (e.g. projects, speaking tests, writing prompts, etc.) during this course to assess student learning. These assessments will be completed using the various features of Canvas (e.g. Conferences, Wiki Pages, discussion boards, etc.). In addition to these assessments, students will also complete a variety of informal assessments such as quizzes, textbook activities, journals, discussion boards, etc. These assignments will help students to engage with the content throughout the course and will also help provide progress monitoring opportunities for the instructor.
Please contact the instructor at colleen.cohen@bucks.edu with any questions or concerns.
I look forward to meeting you in Canvas!
Warm Regards, Colleen Cohen |
