¡Bienvenidos al curso híbrido de español elemental II!

Welcome to Spanish 111.H51. This is an interactive course in which students acquire a basic knowledge of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish. Oral proficiency, listening, comprehension, and grammatical accuracy are all stressed. Cultural background accompanies each chapter.

There are many advantages to taking hybrid courses. You have the structure of meeting regularly in the classroom, but some flexibility of doing homework and tests online.

We will meet every Monday for six weeks during Summer Session III of 2018. Your classroom attendance is required. Elementary Spanish II Hybrid course runs for 6 weeks.

Orientation: We will meet every Monday for 6 weeks during Summer Session III of 2018. Your classroom attendance is required. There will be orientation information posted on our Bucks email to familiarize you with the objectives and requirements of the course. We will go over the class syllabus in the classroom on the first day.

Course Objective: This is an interactive course in which students acquire a basic knowledge of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish. Oral proficiency, listening, comprehension, and grammatical accuracy are all stressed. Cultural background accompanies each chapter. To this end, the study guide/course outline will be followed sequentially. The instructor reserves the right to modify the course as needed.

Student Learning Outcomes:

A. acquire and demonstrate an elementary degree of competence in the four language skills: speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing;

B. recognize and respond appropriately to the most common spoken situations;

C. demonstrate an ability to write basic sentences in Spanish;

D. and explain some common aspects of life in the Spanish-speaking countries.
