Other Information about the Course

The summer 2018 course will cover collections management and curation from an archaeological perspective, including hands-on work on the college's archaeological collections.

This course is appropriate for students looking to learn more about the nuts and bolts of museum or archaeological collections or who are seeking to get more experience with archaeological practice in general.

As a hybrid course, students will be expected to participate in an online course for five weeks as well as be present for a three-day hands-on portion of the coursework on-site at either the BCCC Newtown campus or a nearby location TBD. This course will run for six weeks, total. Both the online and on-site portions are required.

Please note: while this course is hands-on with archaeological collections, it does not include training for archaeological fieldwork.
