Getting Started With This Course
Orientation for this course is REQUIRED.
Failure to participate in a REQUIRED orientation, as specified below, may jeopardize your grade.
Your instructor will hold the orientation online using self-paced tools, email and/or discussions. (A self-paced orientation does NOT mean the entire course is self-paced.) You should plan to access your online course no later than the first day of the session. Failure to do so may jeopardize your grade.
Other Orientation Information
Online Orientation videos and instructions will be available in the Canvas site on the first day of classes and must be started immediately. A score of 100% on an orientation quiz (covering said materials) will be required to move on with the course.

Other Information about the Course
The E-learning sections of A&P have no lab meetings and run the length of the semester (16 weeks). It is NOT self-paced. The labs are performed at home via physiology lab simulation software and virtual cadaver dissection software. Access to these products are included with the textbook. We will be using web-based computer programs called Connect, Tegrity, Anatomy & Physiology Revealed 3.2, and LearnSmart Labs. All of these are accessible via ONE online access code that comes with the new textbook or ebook.
DO NOT PURCHASE A BOOK before the beginning of class. Details will be available on the first day.
There will NOT be an in-person orientation held at the start of the semester rather there will be Orientation materials available on the first day of classes in our Canvas Course Space accessible at www.bucks.instructure.com that online learning will direct you toward. Weekly homework quizzes are untimed and taken at home, while 5 proctored, closed-book exams will be taken on campus in one of our three testing centers (Newtown, Bristol, or Perkasie). Exams will be available during a specific date range spanning about one week. You can take the exam at any time the centers are open during that range. No appointment is necessary. The testing center in Newtown is open until 9pm on Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday, until 4pm on Tuesday & Friday, and until 1pm on Saturdays (satellite campuses have limited hours). Alternative off-site proctoring can also be arranged through an approval process. A link to the testing center website will be provided in Canvas so you can always check their schedule before an exam. These are the only on-campus requirements. This is not a self-paced course. You must be prepared for exams when I schedule them. The full semester's schedule will be available at the start of the semester. The E-learning course is not for people who do not have time for school. All the knowledge & understanding that is expected of face-to-face students is expected of online students.
