Upon receipt of a Transcript Evaluation Request form, Bucks County Community College will evaluate parallel work completed at regionally accredited post-secondary institutions for potential transfer credit.

 

Information specific to certain types of credit can be found by following the appropriate link below:

Advanced placement (AP) courses

Sailor/Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript (SMART)

Students enrolled in the Nursing and/or LAG: Nurse Potential majors

Students with a Bachelor Degree, or higher, from a regionally accredited college located within the United States

If you attended a Foreign University

Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)

 

General Policies related to transfer credits and transcript evaluations :

  • A student can obtain up to 30 transfer credits from all outside sources (including AP and PLA).
  • Only grades of "C" or better will be considered for potential transfer credit.
  • Courses that are not needed in order to complete your major at BCCC will not be accepted as transfer credits.
  • Developmental coursework will not be accepted as transfer credits.
  • Proficiency courses (those which produce "pass" or "satisfactory" grades) will not be accepted as transfer credits.
  • Courses taken at institutions without regional accreditation will not be accepted for transfer credit through traditional means; they may however be reviewed through the Office of Prior Learning Assessment for potential life experience credit.
