Summer session hours at the Newtown Center are Monday-Thursday from 10:00am-6:30pm. During the fall and spring semesters, the Newtown Center is open: Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-7:00pm and Friday 8:30am-3:30pm. Please click on the subject-specific link for hours at UBC and LBC; click on the Online Tutoring link for Real-time Online Tutoring hours.
Face-to-face appointments are for 30 minutes for all subjects except Online Writing and Online Math, and begin on the hour and on the half hour only for individual appointments. Online Writing and Online Math appointments are 50 minutes and also begin on the hour or half hour. For group appointments, the appointment is the duration of the timeslot. We recommend that you request your appointment at least 2 days in advance; there are certain times of the day that fill up quickly! Students can also make an appointment by calling 215-968-8044, emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org, stopping by the Center during our open hours, or making an appointment on our website.
Permanent appointments are available for students who want to meet with a Writing Tutor consistently throughout the semester (available at the Newtown Campus during the fall and spring semesters only). Students should see the Assistant Director, Writing or the Writing Specialist to schedule these appointments early in the semester.
The Tutoring Center will take walk-ins if we have cancellations or no-shows, but we do not encourage students to rely on this possibility.
